Who We are

TRAX was set up in 1992 in response to joyriding which was rife on Oxfordshire estates. 

The idea was to provide an alternative to a custodial sentence for young car offenders where they could follow their interest in motor vehicles in a positive and constructive project. The idea worked and TRAX helped to reduce car offending by 40% in the areas it had an active presence.

Out of this work developed early intervention for young people ‘at risk’ of offending
